1500 km and 255 of the most valuable and interesting historic wooden buildings form the Wooden Architecture Trail in Małopolska. The trail includes unique Orthodox churches, picturesque churches, historic belfries, old Polish manor houses and manors, as well as villas and open-air museums.
8 of the sites on the trail have been distinguished by an entry on the UNESCO World Heritage List. These are 8 religious buildings – historic churches and Orthodox churches: Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Binarowa, Church of St. Philip and Jacob in Sękowo, Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Dębno Podhalańskie, Church of St. Leonard in Lipnica Murowana, Church of St. James the Younger the Apostle in Powroźnik, Church of the Protection of the Mother of God in Owczary, Church of St. Paraskevi in Kwiatoń and Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Brunary Wyżne.
Get in your car and hit the road, along the wooden architecture trail, of course.
